Mount Carmel College welcomes applications from girls for ELC to Year 10 at any time.

Key entry points to the College are Kindergarten and Year 7, however we welcome enrolment applications for any year level at any time of the year, and each will be assessed, based on availability.

We also maintain waiting lists as vacancies do arise in some year levels throughout the school year, so we encourage families to submit an enrolment application.

Our enrolment process is governed by Catholic Education Tasmania. While enrolment preference is given to Catholic families, our College community is an inclusive one, with applications accepted from Catholic, Independent and Government schools. We are a community and are open to all students from all backgrounds who share our values and explicit goals.

For our key entry years, Kindergarten applications close in May the year prior to enrolment year, while applications for Year 7 close in March the year prior to enrolment year. It is recommended that Year 7 applications are submitted when the student is in Year 5.

We encourage prospective students and their families to come and see the College in action. For further information or to discuss your child’s enrolment application, please contact our Enrolments Officer on enrol@mountcarmel.tas.edu.au or on (03) 6216 7900 or complete the enrolment enquiry form.

Sibling Applications

Current families are reminded that they need to submit enrolment applications for siblings by the relevant due date. Existing enrolments of older siblings does not guarantee an automatic enrolment of younger siblings as our enrolment process is governed by Catholic Education Tasmania. Each sibling application needs to be lodged separately.

Preference for enrolment is determined by the prioritised as per the Catholic Education Enrolment Policy. The Enrolment Procedures provides clarity of processes and procedures for parents/guardians seeking to enrol children in any Catholic Schools operating in the Archdiocese of Hobart under the CECT Enrolment Policy.
